Can SPC Free Zone Members Now Tap into Amazon’s Global Reach?

So, the Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (SPC Free Zone) has teamed up with Amazon UAE to help SPC Free Zone members, which include publishers, entrepreneurs, and SMEs, grow their businesses faster through online retail channels. This collaboration will allow them to sell their products to millions of customers on Amazon.ae. The goal here is to support these businesses in navigating the digital economy by using Amazon's tools, services, and expertise.

The MOU was signed by Saif Al Suwaidi, the Director of SPC Free Zone, and Chintan Dhebar, the Marketplace Director at Amazon for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey. Their aim is to help SPC Free Zone members get up to speed with digitalisation. Amazon will provide step-by-step guidance for seller registration and onboarding, offer seller education through training, workshops, and webinars, and ensure a smooth journey for these businesses as they go digital.

Saif Al Suwaidi mentioned that this collaboration with Amazon UAE is a big step in supporting SMEs in the region. By tapping into Amazon’s global reach and expertise, SPC Free Zone members will be better equipped to expand their customer base and thrive in the e-commerce space. He sees this as a long-term investment in the future of entrepreneurship in Sharjah and the UAE.

On the other side, Chintan Dhebar from Amazon emphasised that supporting small and medium-sized businesses is a core part of Amazon’s mission. He explained that Amazon is excited to collaborate with SPC Free Zone to help its members start selling on Amazon.ae and expand their reach. Amazon aims to have products from 100,000 businesses, including those in the UAE, on their platform by 2026.
