Some good news: US-China reached a trade ceasefire
However unpredictable Trump might be, he has been getting pressure to plug his trade war actions from multiple lobbying groups in the US, as well as his own party.
At the G-20 summit held in Japan, President Donald Trump met with Chinese President Xi Jinping to talk trade. What followed was a half-unexpected truce which will avert the $300 billion worth of additional tariffs that Trump was planning to levy.
Speaking to the media on Saturday about his meeting with President Xi Jinping, Trump said, "As good as it was going to be. We discussed a lot of things and we're right back on track. And we'll see what happens but we had a really good meeting."
The yearlong trade war could be seeing signs to come to an end. It has done much to worry trade analysts, stock markets and the global economy that is already expected to slow down. We trust more truce agreements will avert the recession being by economists.
