AgriTech startup Pure Harvest look to raise $10m to expand internationally

When you go to the fruits and vegetable aisle of your local supermarket, you will most likely see all the different countries where the fruits are sourced from. They come from all over the world — from Europe to Asia and from Australia to Africa.

Pure Harvest Smart Farms, an Abu Dhabi-based startup that has recently received a $1.5 million grant by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund (MBRIF), aims to be part of the solution to the region’s growing food security, water conservation, and sustainability challenges by growing the food locally. The startup developed the greenhouse in partnership with Certhon Greenhouse Solutions, a Dutch designer and builder of modern greenhouses.

Recently, Pure Harvest announced the first successful harvest of their first crops, and is already looking to raise over $10 million in order to expand into the rest of the UAE, as well as internationally. Learn more about this agritech startup and its expansion plans here.
