Global Entrepreneurship awards hosted in Dubai by TiE during Global Summit in Dubai
The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) conferred the Global Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Business Transformation on Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman Aditya Birla Group during the global summit being hosted in Dubai. He was recognised joins an exclusive list of global entrepreneurs to receive the award this year that include Elon Musk for Global Entrepreneur of the Year - Immigrant Entrepreneur; Jeff Bezos as Global Entrepreneur of the Year - First Generation and Satya Nadella as the Global Entrepreneur of the Year - Entrepreneurial CEO. The awardees were selected by an independent jury chaired by Venture Capitalist, Tim Draper, Founder, Draper University.
In addition, the jury picked Techstars for Best Global Accelerator for Startups, MIT for Global University Promoting Student Entrepreneurship and Accel as Best Global VC Fund.
TiE currently has 15,000 members, including over 2,500 charter members in 61 chapters across 14 countries. TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, education, incubating, and funding. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs.

The Global Entrepreneur awards ceremony was attended by an eclectic list of policymakers, business tycoons and entrepreneurs, that travelled from over 30 countries to Dubai for the two-day Global Summit.
