Sharjah launches new e-hailing service, Buraq

Sharjah has launched Buraq, an e-hailing delivery service exclusively for consumers in Sharjah. The new mobility and logistics initiative have been introduced by Sharjah Asset Management and OWS Auto.

“Our goal is to have happiest customers from day one. The dedicated service for Sharjah shows massive co-operation between both public and private sectors. We are proud to launch UAE’s third hailing service for those looking for comfort, safety and reliability,” said Oweis Zahran, CEO of OWS Auto.

The new Buraq service will offer customers several benefits including tracking their deliveries, fare estimate and route upfront, along with their driver’s details. Offering BMW’s for transport instead of the standard Lexus limos, the app booking also offers multiple payment methods including cash on delivery, card or in-app payments as well as a planned route to reduce overall lead time.

Using technology and a seamless consumer experience with round-the-clock call centre to support, Buraq can manage all kinds of deliveries, big or small, with live order tracking facility and proof of delivery.
