Is Scoutr.ai Set to Revolutionise Recruitment in the UAE?

Partnering with AstroLabs and backed by US$500,000 funding, Scoutr.ai targets passive talent to streamline hiring for SMEs across the MENA region.

So, Scoutr.ai, an AI-driven recruitment platform, has just launched in the UAE, and they’ve done it through a strategic partnership with AstroLabs, which is well-known for helping businesses expand in the Gulf. Scoutr recently raised US$500,000 in seed funding to help them grow, and a lot of this will go towards refining their platform and speeding up their operations in the UAE and beyond.

What’s interesting is that they’ve attracted backers who had supported Intrro (another recruitment venture), along with Neel Shah, who co-founded Scoutr.ai, and some key angel investors. This funding round is really focused on helping Scoutr get its platform fully developed and making sure they’re ready to hit the ground running in the UAE market.

AstroLabs is really excited about the partnership too. Alex Nicholls, their director of expansion, mentioned how Scoutr.ai is set to lead the next generation of AI-powered recruitment technology. Essentially, Scoutr helps companies find the right candidates for the right roles—faster and more efficiently—by using AI. One of the key aspects is that they focus on passive talent, which is a game-changer because they’re targeting people who aren’t even actively looking for jobs but could be perfect for a role.

Scoutr’s platform has two main products: referral automation and sourcing automation. It’s all integrated into one system, so recruiters and hiring managers can streamline the entire hiring process, especially for SMEs and mid-sized companies in the UAE and MENA region. It also helps companies build a pipeline of candidates without relying on external staffing agencies, which can save both time and money.

Neel Shah, Scoutr’s CEO, talked about their mission, saying they want to help companies hire top talent faster, cheaper, and more effectively. Their Dubai office will play a big role in this, as it’s the first step in scaling their platform globally. Shah also pointed out that, after spending over a decade in recruitment, he saw how traditional methods fell short in reaching passive talent, and Scoutr was designed to change that.

Scoutr’s expansion comes at a perfect time, especially as the UAE is becoming a hub for tech companies specialising in AI and automation. Craig Ambrose, the co-founder and CSO, added that having worked in the UAE’s HR space, he’s seen how much time and money businesses waste on hiring, and Scoutr is here to cut that down by delivering exactly what hiring managers need—fast, informed decisions.

With their recent funding, it’s clear there’s a growing demand for AI-driven recruitment tools like Scoutr, and they’re set to transform how companies make hiring decisions by tapping into data-driven methods. This expansion in the UAE is just the beginning for them as they aim to take their platform global and revolutionise recruitment across industries.
