Can Khalifa Fund’s New Initiatives Fuel the Future of UAE Tech?

The Khalifa Fund supports four innovative Emirati tech firms at Dubai Harbour, showcasing their potential for global partnerships and investments in the dynamic startup ecosystem.

So, I wanted to share some exciting news about the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and its involvement in the Expand North Star 2024 event. Organised by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, this event is a key part of the well-known GITEX Global and aims to bring together startups, investors, and industry leaders from all over the globe to showcase innovative ideas and encourage collaboration.

The Khalifa Fund is supporting four remarkable Emirati businesses in the information technology and communications-sector at this event. The companies they’re backing include:

  1. Rafeeg, a platform that connects customers with service providers, making it easier to access reliable home maintenance services.

  2. By Tech, a tech firm focused on helping businesses grow by offering tailored digital solutions to meet their unique needs.

  3. Osool Communications & Technical Systems, a leader in providing advanced communication and security solutions, including CCTV systems and home automation, all while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

  4. Anigma Technologies, an Abu Dhabi-based gaming brand aimed at improving the gaming experience in the GCC by offering premium gaming PC components and custom-built systems.

Mrs. Mouza Obaid Al Nasri, the Acting CEO of Khalifa Fund, emphasised that supporting Emirati entrepreneurs is a top priority for them. They focus on businesses that embrace sustainability, digital transformation, and innovative solutions. She pointed out that this forward-thinking approach is crucial for success in today’s rapidly changing economy and helps shape a diverse and sustainable economic future.

By participating in Expand North Star 2024, these Emirati businesses are being positioned in one of the most dynamic tech ecosystems worldwide. This not only enhances their global visibility but also opens up valuable opportunities for partnerships and investments. Mrs. Al Nasri highlighted that the companies represented embody the spirit of innovation, quality, and entrepreneurship that Khalifa Fund is committed to promoting.

The Khalifa Fund’s involvement at this event reflects its ongoing mission to drive the growth of the UAE’s entrepreneurial sector. They’re focused on fostering innovation and creating connections between local businesses and global markets, ensuring that Emirati companies remain competitive and play a vital role in the UAE’s future as a leader in technology and innovation.

Oh, and it’s worth mentioning that back in July, the Khalifa Fund rolled out a new suite of funding programs offering long-term, interest-free loans to support small and medium-sized startups in priority sectors, including information and communications technology. It's a great initiative to help these businesses thrive!
